RULES AND REGULATIONS
odor-free student is always pleasant company! Also, keep your uniform looking nice. It certainly can be time-consuming to wash and iron your uniform after each class, but it would but nice. Otherwise, at least hang up your uniform. Stuffing it into gear bags causes wrinkles and bad odors. Don't wash your belt in the washing machine! If your belt becomes dirty, hand washing with mild detergent is best. Or simply take good care of your belt and never wash it. REFER TO UNIFORM CARE.
TARDINESS: Be on time to class!!! We instructors do our best to start class on time and we expect you to be there! It is recommended that you arrive and be ready 5 to 10 minutes before class begins. This will give you an opportunity to stretch out and be ready for warm-ups. If you should happen to be late, don't worry. Go to the back of the room and wait for permission from the head instructor to enter class. As long as a student's tardiness does not become a normal occurrence, there will be no disciplinary action. In other words, don't make it a habit!!!
TELEPHONE: The telephone in the school is a business line. Don't keep it tied up. If you have to use the phone, please limit the call to less than 3 minutes.
SAFETY: Our # 1 policy is student safety! Horseplay of any kind will not be tolerated, be it from students or spectators. Punishment will be an automatic 500 push-ups. Also, hitting the walls, mirrors, or windows will result in an automatic 500 push-ups. If more than one person is involved, expect to share the push-ups with the other person or people, even if you or they did not actually hit the wall, mirror, or window.
SAFETY EQUIPMENT: Once a student reaches green belt, he/she is expected to spar. At this time, the following safety equipment must be purchased: Hand Pads, Foot Pads, Headgear (for students under age 18), and Mouthpiece. All males must wear a groin cup! Also keep your fingernails and toenails cut short. More cuts result from long nails than anything else.
ADDITIONAL DRESS CODES: No jewelry! Earrings, rings, necklaces, watches, etc. could get broken or cause injury. Leave them off. All females must wear a t-shirt or sports top under their uniform. All males should never wear anything under their uniform jacket. Your chest will show. Get over it.
CENTER HOURS: Hours revolve around the class schedule. It is not a guarantee that someone will be at the center during non-classtime hours, but it is possible. If you wish to come and workout when there is no class going on, feel free to do so.
